The SUSPLAN Project in Pomeranian Region has officially started. The Institute for Renewable Energy along with the Marshall Office of Pomeranian Voivodeship organized kick-off workshops for Pomeranian Regional case study, which took place in Gdańsk in 9th of March 2009. The main purpose of the meeting was to encourage regional market energy actors to take part in the development of the Pomeranian case study for long term energy infrastructure development with special consideration of renewable energy sources.

Among the participants were: Marshall of the Pomeranian Voivodeship – Mr. Jan Kozłowski, Voivode – Mr. Roman Zaborowski, and the president of the board of the regional utility ENERGA – Mr Mirosław Bieliński. Moreover foreign participants were present during the workshops. Among them Mr. Bjorn Bakken from SINTEF Energy Research in Norway or Hans Auer for Vienna University of Technology.
