Businesses, supported by the government, will join forces to strengthen their industry and contribute to the European Green Deal through made-in-EU products.

The Institute of Renewable Energy (IEO) has released the latest update of the database “Photovoltaic project in Poland”. It turns out that the development of PV projects is unimpeded and there is still interest of investors and developers in this field. The dynamics of photovoltaic projects development is important in the context of RES auctions. According to IEO, in this year's auction for photovoltaics there will be as strong competition as in the previous one.

The latest IEO data indicate that the entry into force of the so-called 10h Act has essentially blocked the development of new wind energy projects in Poland. Since the Wind Power Investments Act, which requires the location of wind turbines at a distance of not less than 10 times their total height, went into effect in 2016 practically no completely new green field wind project has received a building permit. Projects only change their owner, sometimes insignificant changes are made to them, which only statistically confirm that the development activity is continued.

According to the IEO’s Report “PV Market in Poland 2020” Poland is expected to see its installed PV capacity rise from 1.5 GW at the end of 2019 to around 2.5 GW by the end of this year. Poland may reach its target of 7.8 GW of solar by 2030 – as outlined in the National Plan for Energy and Climate – by the middle of the decade – in 2025.

A well-thought-out and effective solutions for the renewable energy market.
